Ross Daly is an Irishman who has lived and taught music in Greece for many years. He played the lauto (the upright fiddle shown in this photo) plus the rebab (a somewhat similar new instrument.) His group specialized in Greek and Middle Eastern "classical" music, but he also demonstrated great skill in improvization and other musical genres.
